Week Without Violence
One in four women have been a victim of domestic violence. Unsettling statistics such as this prove that violence in cities, schools, work places and homes continues to affect us all. In a nationwide effort to eliminate violence in our communities, the YWCA hosts an annual week of events to raise consciousness and involvement. YWCA Knoxville has created activities and discussions for the community in an attempt to educate and raise awareness for domestic violence.
The 2012 YWCA Knoxville Week Without Violence will be held on October 15th – 20th and will include various events, ending with the YWCA Purple and Persimmon Walk.
