Founded in Knoxville in 1899, the YWCA is in its 111th year of meeting the needs of women and families who need support to help them gain their self-sufficiency. YWCA Knoxville’s programs embody the spirit of the “hand up, not hand out” philosophy and have an immeasurable community impact, both in economic and social terms.
